sounds of gunfire

so its just another day,
and i am 19.
into the last year of my teenage life
onto the threshold of adulthood.
goodbye to youth and innoence
(which have actually departed eons back)
and i shed the security of school uniforms
to explore and contest the colours of university life.
alone.
no less.
but i shall leave that for some other time.
so this is where everything starts getting exciting.
or does it?
i'm actually hoping for life to settle down
and take on a comfortable,
much less dramatic pace.
